About Langskegg

Craftsman behind Langskegg workshop

Langskegg creates custom, mixed-media pieces that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern precision. Every item is designed and built one at a time. Never mass-produced, never outsourced.

What I Make

Langskegg produces custom signs, kitchen products, trophies, awards, display pieces, and functional items. Most projects combine materials—wood, acrylic, plastics, and metal—to achieve a balance of warmth, durability, and clarity.

Many pieces are customized for each customer, incorporating logos, names, sayings, or original artwork. Each project starts with an idea and ends with something made specifically for one person or purpose.

Craft, Not Factory

Quality and craftsmanship are the point.

Langskegg pieces are made for people who value materials, fit, finish, and longevity—objects that feel intentional and solid, not disposable. Owning something made by hand, with care, means owning something that cannot be duplicated.

Every piece is one of a kind.

Hand-On, Start to Finish

My hands are involved in every step of the process, from design and material selection to machining, finishing, and final delivery.

That approach comes from a lifetime of building and fixing things, shaped by:

  • The dedication and character passed down from my father, a meticulous craftsman
  • The discipline and accountability of Marine Corps service
  • The precision and problem-solving mindset of a Mechanical Engineer

The result is work that balances craftsmanship with accuracy, and creativity with reliability.

Why “Langskegg”

Langskegg is an Old Norse term meaning “long beard.” Historically, it implied wisdom, experience, and respect earned over time. It was a term reserved for kings and respected elders.

It also happens to describe me rather accurately.

After decades as a craftsman, tradesman, and Engineer the name reflects both experience and identity. I make things carefully, intentionally, and without shortcuts.

If you’re looking for something custom, personal, and well-made, Langskegg exists for that exact reason.
