Why End Grain

End grain cutting boards are easier on knife edges and self-heal between cuts. The fibers stand vertical instead of running horizontally, so the blade slips between them rather than slicing across them. You get a cleaner cut and a sharper knife at the end of the day.

Care

Hand wash with mild soap, towel dry, and stand on edge to dry fully. Re-oil with food-safe mineral oil or Langskegg Wood Butter every few months to keep the wood from drying out. Never put it in the dishwasher.
